Mortgage Loan Closers: Your career search stops here! The Federal Savings Bank (“TFSB”) is a veteran-owned national bank with a focus on residential lending. Named as one of Mortgage Executive Magazine's top 50 mortgage companies to work for four years, TFSB is actively searching for a detailed, solution-oriented Mortgage Closer to join our team as a Construction Loan Closer. This position can be 100% remote or based in one of our 40+ loan production offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize Encompass loan origination software.
Audit construction loan files for compliance inaccuracies according to internal, investor, and federal overlays
Manage a daily pipeline of Initial Loan Estimates, Change of Circumstance Loan Estimates, and Closing Disclosures while adhering to strict deadlines
Ensure construction loans are closed on time and there are no delays at Closing or Funding
Review executed closing packages and coordinate funding authorization with title companies or builders
Expected to close a moderate pipeline of high priority construction loans and other complex loans
Serve as a conduit between the closing department, bankers, and analysts to ensure a smooth loan process for the borrower
Provide white glove service to bank customers and mortgage bankers by executing best-in-class customer service procedures
Work effectively under specific time constraints
Operate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
2 year college degree or commensurate mortgage experience
3 + years of Residential Mortgage Closing experience
2+ years of experience Closing Construction loans and expert knowledge of FHA, VA and conventional product offerings
Demonstrated history of meeting construction closing deadlines
Encompass experience strongly preferred
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Flexible with work schedules especially during peak volume periods & month end.
Excellent Interpersonal, Communication, and Time Management Skills
