The Federal Savings Bank (“TFSB”) is a veteran-owned national bank with a focus on residential lending. Recently named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing private companies in America for three consecutive years, TFSB is actively searching for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. Based out of our Chicago, IL headquarters, the Sr. Analyst is responsible for coordinating with the Bank's team of accountants, answering basic accounting software user inquiries, updating/creating/providing training materials for systems and documenting various accounting processes and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as data/system lead with CFO and Controller to implement upgrades and oversee collecting, analyzing, verifying, maintaining, validating, and reporting accounting and banking related systems/infrastructure
Meet with multiple department stakeholders and apply skills and observations and recommendations to address operational issues/bottlenecks
Utilize necessary Accounting tools/systems supporting FISERV Enterprise Resource Planning suite (Prologue, Business Analytics, Frontier)
Automate manual and time consuming processes for daily and monthly reconciliations utilizing newly implemented reconciliation software
Support the CFO and Controller to address requests from internal & external auditors and regulatory examiners
Conduct in depth analysis of complicated data with a desire to understand what it contains not just produce it to hand to another user
Coordinate accounts payable transformation from paper check handling to ACH and credit card disbursements
3- 7 years of experience with financial system analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a Universally Accredited University preferred.
CPA certification is preferred but not required
Knowledge of FDIC regulations and requirements
Ability to problem solve for a variety of compliance and business issues within pressure and time-sensitive periods
Ability to effectively communicate all levels of bank management and staff
Demonstrated ability monitor and assess internal controls design and operation
Experience with Dashboard creation and maintenance, for operational queues, banking penetration/origination, as well regular financial results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to respond to inquiries and problems
Base Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus
