Mortgage Banker Training for Veterans - Chicago
The Federal Savings Bank is seeking a high energy, sales professional or veteran to train as a Junior Mortgage Banker in our Chicago headquarters office. Mortgage industry experience is not required! Candidates with prior military experience strongly encouraged to apply! Junior mortgage bankers successfully completing our Mortgage Banker University are promoted to Sr. Mortgage Bankers and take applications from our veteran and active duty service member clients that are interested in purchasing a home.
This is a full time salaried junior mortgage banker apprenticeship reporting directly to the Senior Vice President in Chicago, IL. On-the-job-training is provided so all applicants must live in the area. Job Duties:
- Learn and apply critical sales techniques through hands-on sales coaching from successful Mortgage Bankers and VPs
- Support top producing Mortgage Banker(s) with lead generation and follow up
- Learning and utilizing our loan origination and automated underwriting software
- Learning our CRM and managing mortgage banker leads
- Provide fantastic customer service to clients and referral sources
- Consistently exceed borrower expectations and Banker expectations. Always giving "Wow" service
- Attend National Sales Meetings
Job Requirements / Ideal Candidate:
- 4 year college degree, or 2 years of sales or military experience
- US Veterans strongly encourage to apply!
- 1 + years of experience in sales or retail, hospitality, and food & beverage industries a plus
- Friendly, outgoing personality accompanied by a naturally high sales acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision after training
- Self-Motivated with a natural capacity for leadership roles.
- Goal oriented with a great student mentality
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment
- Critical thinker and problem solver
