Mortgage Curriculum Designer

The Federal Savings Bank "TFSB", a national bank and “50 Best Companies to Work For”, winner is  hiring a Sr. Curriculum Designer to support our Training Team. The Sr. Curriculum Designer fulfills an important role at TFSB by designing and developing learning solutions for a variety of delivery methods.

This position will report to the SVP of Training in Chicago.  Opportunity to work from another office or remotely may be offered on an individual basis.

Daily Job Duties:

  • Designs and develops learning solutions using adult learning practices and methods for instructor led, web based, performance-support, distributed learning, or any blend of these delivery methods.
  • Assist trainers with maintenance of classroom materials (PowerPoint, Prezi, Doodly Videos, SCORM Modules, Classroom materials)
  • Update & maintain employee intranet webpages
  • Intra-departmental collaboration with subject matter experts & leadership
  • Infographic design (PowerPoint, Gliffy, SnagIt)

Job Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree OR Equivalent mortgage experience
  • Knowledge of agency and government loan programs such as Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA USDA, New Construction, and DPA lending 
  • Experience in the design, development, and evaluation of course materials for classroom and e-Learning environments preferred
  • Ability to develop a basic subject-matter understanding through materials provided and ability to perform individual research/collaboration with course/content stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of customer-ready materials.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring and editing web and computer-based training materials using Articulate Storyline software.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with e-Learning standards, to include SCORM and Section 508 requirements, web usability standards and practices, and evaluation models to include Kirkpatrick.
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a strict adherence to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must be an overall awesome person with a great sense of humor!
